Fresh Mint & Lemon tea to boost immune!

Fresh healing mint

Fresh Healing Mint & Lemon Tea, a drink for CHAMPIONS!

Next time you are food shopping grab a little mint plant from the fresh herbs section and bring it home! (Or if you are lucky enough to have some in your garden do use that!) Mint is actually very healing, particularly for the digestive system. Its also good for the immune, can help ease congestion and is even good for the skin cells – you could use it in a facial steam session!
Combining it fresh with Lemon bursting with vitamin C makes it a SUPER HEALING CHAMPION OF A DRINK!

Help get your immune back on track try this Fresh Mint Tea combined with lemon and squeeze of manuka honey yum!

I always start with some cold water in the bottom of my mug about 1/4 full, (to make sure the vitamin C in the lemon is not boiled off) to this I add:
1 tea spoon of Manuka honey
Grate a little rind of an unwaxed lemon
Add the juice of 1/4 a lemon
A few sprigs of Fresh Mint (about 5  leaves is a good guide), stir
Then top up mug with boiled water, stir again and allow to steep for a few minutes.

You can also make this in a tea pot. Enjoy!

Hidden Gem of a Heath Shop in Westfield Stratford!

as_nature_intended westfield stratford

Happy Happy Joy Joy!

I looooove mooching about in health shops and to my delight I found a brilliant one in Westfield, Stratford.

How unexpected to find this quiet little haven in that big ‘ol shopping mal.

‘As Nature Intended Shop’ have a great range of natural remedies from vitamins to skincare. A lovely range of natural mineral make up including INIKA’s range. They also have health foods and yummie herbal teas. They also have branches in Chiswick, Ealing and Balham.

The shop assistant was so friendly and very helpful, she even gave me free samples of PAI natural creams for free, I didnt even ask! So I left with a load of natural goodies and a big smile. Yay to the Health shop find in the bowels of Westfield (Stratford).
To find it you go to the Lower ground floor level and its tucked away in the corner SEE MAP HERE

Sleep well Buckwheat with Lavender Pillow for neck support

A pillow with health benefits!
It’s one of the best pillows I have slept on (and I have tried many!). I hand-made it for my boyfriend first, then my friends ordered and as I have had so many positive comments, I decided to make it for other people to enjoy the sleep.

Its a great pillow for insomnia, headache, snoring, irritability, stiff neck and sluggishness and because it can be shaped and moulded to how you like it keeps you in a good position. Also can help lessen puffy eyes in the morning as the lavender helps you breathe well.

It supports your neck, moulds your shape, scented with lavender which is very calming and helps you to sleep more deeply. And its even environmentally friendly!

Makes you want one? Well my friend hand-make them bespoke to order, so for prices and to order please email on suzie@soothe-me.com

bike n baby – try wee-ride

Little Dylan rides high with this dad in Victoria Park, London

wee_ride

Want to take your little one out with you then this wee-ride is great. Its a really lovely way to get out in the fresh air and for your baby to experience the great outdoors. It feels really safe and has a padded ‘table’ type rest for your nipper to lean on when tired.

You can use if from around 10 months depending on your childs size, neck strength (Mothercare stocks it too). The only minor thing is it does make your knees push out to the sides very slightly but, you get used to it and I just push my bum back a bit. I guess you could move your saddle back a bit too.

There is also the SafeTseat thats looks equally as good (although I have not tryed it), but without the leg length adjustment of the wee-ride.
